Wines of Tasmania began during the COVID-19 pandemic when Tasmania’s borders closed and cellar door experiences across the state came to a sudden halt. Created by Katrina alongside some of Tasmania’s most respected wine producers, the business was built to continue sharing the stories, people and exceptional wines that make Tasmania one of the world’s most exciting cool-climate wine regions.
The vision was simple. To bring the experience of discovering Tasmania’s finest wines into homes around Australia. Like stopping in at a cellar door on a Tassie road trip, meeting the makers, hearing the stories behind the labels, and enjoying wines chosen for their quality, character and sense of place.
In 2025, Wines of Tasmania entered a new chapter when Bec Nicholson, a long-time supporter of Tasmanian small business and enjoyer of Tasmanian wines and produce, proudly took over the business from Katrina. With a strong background in business operations, marketing and storytelling, Bec continues the original vision while bringing fresh energy and a deep passion for supporting Tasmania’s locally owned wineries and producers.

Based in Launceston, Wines of Tasmania remains proudly Tasmanian owned and operated. Every wine featured is carefully selected from producers who own, grow and make wine right here in Tasmania. From iconic sparkling wines to expressive Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling and emerging varieties, each selection celebrates the remarkable diversity of the island.
