The Select Six
In case three’s not enough, or more variety is what you’re after, these six wines have been carefully chosen and are a great sample of the variety and quality of Tasmania’s best wine producers.
September October 2026 Selections Include:
Aunt Alice Ocean Chardonnay 2025
Ocean Chardonnay is a blend of Coal River and Derwent Valley fruit, whole bunch pressed straight to French oak and left to wild ferment. The aromas are fresh stone fruit, nectarine and lemon zest. The palate is textured and creamy, with partial malolactic fermentation adding complexity and length.
Zymo Riesling 2024
This Riesling is everything you want from cool-climate Tasmania: taut, dry and zesty, with green apple and lime and a long, racy finish.
Dr Edge NV Brut Nature (Cork & Muselet)
Brut Nature means zero dosage, nothing added to soften it. Dr Edge blends Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier from the Tamar Valley, ages it two years on lees, and disgorges it bone dry. The result is precise and savoury: citrus, fresh bread and real texture, with a long, dry finish. Rated one of Tasmania’s top non-vintage sparklings by The Real Review. Serious bubbles for people who want their sparkling to taste like something.
Ghost Rock Zoe 2024
Delicate aromas of alpine strawberry and quince mingle with orchard blossom, with subtle toasty notes and a hint of freshly churned butter. The palate is seamless and refined, fresh and floral with a generous weight and fine mousse, mineral-driven through to a long, elegant finish. Coastal, easygoing, and built to be poured often.
Glaetzer-Dixon Mon Père Shiraz 2022
Nick Glaetzer named Mon Père, meaning “my father”, for Colin Glaetzer, a Barossa shiraz legend. This is proof cool-climate shiraz can be serious: elegant, savoury and spiced. Full bodied with subtle white pepper spice & delicious white prosciutto, fennel and black olive aromas.
Broad Acres Pinot Noir 2025
The aromas are fresh and bright, red berries, cherry and a touch of spice. The palate is soft and approachable, with gentle tannins and an easy, juicy finish. Broad Acres Pinot Noir has picked up medals at the Sydney Royal Wine Show in recent vintages, a sign of a vineyard hitting its stride.
