The Select Six

In case three’s not enough, or more variety is what you’re after, these six wines have been carefully chosen and are a great representation of the variety and quality of Tasmania’s best wine producers.

SPRING VALE 2023 Pinot Gris

Enticing pear, citrus and floral aromas with an intriguing roasted hazelnut bouquet. The palate is beautifully textured from time on lees in barrel and is layered with fruit characters and nougat. Persistent fine tannins and phenolics give lovely length.

STEFANO LUBIANA 2023 Sauvignon Blanc

An all-round aromatic crowd pleaser, this wine displays gooseberry and fig flavours on the nose, which are complimented by crisp acidity on the front palate, ripe stone fruit and melon on the mid-palate, and finishes with hints of fresh field asparagus. Just delightful.

TWO TONNE TASMANIA 2023 TMV Riesling

With an endless number of aspects and micro climates in the Tamar Valley (north of Launceston), this wine is produced from two warm sites not far from the Tamar River’s edge. Aromatic and textured, the wine lifts with perfume from the glass and has a decent weight in the palate, with a lovely finish.

BREMLEY 2021 Chardonnay

A wonderful medley of citrus and new season stone fruit aromatics. Elegant oak provides a creamy plushness for sublime stone fruit structure – white peach and melon are most prominent. A firm acid backbone of citrus complexity provides seemingly endless length and an aromatic lift at the finish.

SINAPIUS 2023 Esmé Gamay

Opens with an intensely perfumed nose, with bright red cherries and hints of violets and wild fennel. Light to medium bodied, the palate is gently sweet and silky, full of juicy pomegranates, with fine, chalky tannins. Has great length and persistence, with a wonderful fine spice and lively acidity. Due to the low level of sulphur added, store or cellar below 16°C to ensure optimal drinking.

BREAM CREEK 2022 Pinot Noir

This multi-award winning cool climate Pinot Noir has a complex black and red cherry and spice nose, supported by an intense palate of black cherry and raspberry fruits, excellent tannins and a long finish.
