July/August 2026 Selections Include:
FRANKCOMB 2024 Chardonnay
The Frankcomb family have been farming in the Huon Valley for generations — fruits, truffles and now vines. They planted only three hectares of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in 2015, kept it small, and took their time. This is their Chardonnay — made from their own hand-tended fruit at Australia's most southerly wine region. Delicate aromas of white nectarine, honey blossom and white peach. The palate is rich and generous, with nutty cashew notes from French oak, and a lovely lingering finish. A wine from a family who knows exactly where they are.
HIGHCLARE 2024 “Roc Bloc” Blanc de Blanc
The 'Roc Bloc' Blanc de Blanc takes its name from the rockiest block on the Highclare Estate — a volcanic-studded hillside at Hillwood facing the morning sun. Rocks line the vine rows and radiate heat long into the evening, keeping the Chardonnay warm through ripening and coaxing more depth and concentration into the fruit than the site's cool climate might otherwise allow.
Made entirely from estate-grown Chardonnay in the traditional method, this is a sparkling wine that carries the fingerprint of a very specific piece of ground. Straw-coloured and dry, with delicate aromas of apple and white peach. The palate is elegant and mineral-driven, with fine persistent bead and well-balanced acidity that carries cleanly through to the finish.
WOODLAWN 2023 Pinot Noir
Woodlawn Park is Ricky Evans' home site in Swan Bay, Tamar Valley — free-draining silty and sandy soils close to the river that consistently deliver pure, vibrant Pinot Noir fruit. This is a single-vineyard expression from that home block, vinified and bottled on the farm. Bright aromatics and snappy red fruits on the nose, with spice and freshness running through the palate. Whole bunches used in the ferment add complexity and texture. Soft, clean and intensely Tasmanian. One of Ricky's best sites, bottled on its own merits.
