Delamere Blanc de Blancs 2018
The 2018 vintage had some unusual conditions with below average temperatures in July-September, but the things started to heat up and they ended up having one of the earliest harvests to date. These also gave a beautiful flavour and fantastic acidity. This Blanc de Blancs is 100% Chardonnay, made the traditional way and given real time on lees. Fine, persistent bubbles. Citrus and white peach up front, brioche and toast building underneath. Patient winemaking from a couple who know exactly what cool climate can do.
Westella Sparkling Rosé 2021
The Adkins family grow nothing but Pinot Noir on their block at Rowella in the Tamar Valley, and this Sparkling Rosé is where that focus really shows. Made the traditional way, entirely from their own fruit, it’s a gorgeous copper/light salmon colour with berry generosity: strawberry, poached quince and a touch of gingery aromatics, lifted by bright citrus acidity and a soft, creamy mousse. One variety, one family, one site.
Ghost Rock Zoe 2024
Delicate aromas of alpine strawberry and quince mingle with orchard blossom, with subtle toasty notes and a hint of freshly churned butter. The palate is seamless and refined, fresh and floral with a generous weight and fine mousse, mineral-driven through to a long, elegant finish. Coastal, easygoing, and built to be poured often.
