The Select Six
In case three’s not enough, or more variety is what you’re after, these six wines have been carefully chosen and are a great sample of the variety and quality of Tasmania’s best wine producers.
DELAMERE NV Rosé
100% hand harvested Pinot Noir and made in the traditional method with around 2 years lees time. Made from a 2016 base with 21% 2014 reserve over blended. Showing true mature Sparkling Rosé characters, it has a pale salmon colour and an aroma of fresh strawberry and musk, complexed by hints of lanolin and toast. Additional layer of complexity from the bottle-aged reserve.
SMALL WONDER 2023 Auburn Chardonnay
Tasmanian Wine Show 2025 Gold Medallist. Pale gold in colour, the nose reveals peach, rockmelon, and almond meal with hints of vanilla and patisserie spices. The palate balances bright lemon zest, spiced apple, and honeydew with a creamy texture and fresh acidity. Subtle oak influence adds depth to this refined yet approachable chardonnay.
BANGOR 2024 Maria Rosé
Crafted from Pinot Noir grapes, Bangor’s Maria Rosé is a bright and refreshing wine, with aromas of Turkish delight, wild strawberry, raspberry and pomegranate flowing through to a wonderfully textural palate from partial barrel aging on lees.
HAVILAH 2023 Shiraz
A typical cool-climate Shiraz/Syrah with white pepper, blue fruits, and fresh, crunchy acidity. Fruit grown in the Tamar Valley. Per Ricky: “Spent some time in one of those real big fancy barrels that all winemakers secretly want to turn into a swimming pool one day.”
BANGOR 2024 Captain Spotswood Pinot Noir
Bright ruby in colour with aromas of raspberry and red cherry, following through with mouth-watering dark cherries, tight juicy-red cherries, plums, and notes of dark chocolate and spice.
DELAMERE NV Cuvée
This wine showcases many of the elements that make a non-vintage Sparkling wine so appealing. The maturity of the older wine brings a richness and depth, which combines beautifully with the fresh apple, citrus and stone fruit flavours of the younger wines. Flavours of fresh bread, nuts and leatherwood honey. A lingering and complex finish.
